How to : Space Planning your home
Space Planning is one of the most crucial stage in designing your home.
Bad layout will destroy the aesthetic of your space.
This stage is where most homeowner underestimate the impact towards the design the most. After all, it is just moving tables and chair right?
What’s beyond that is also moving walls, which probably are costly and time consuming if not done from the beginning.
When you plan to create dream home, you have the answer of all of these question :
DEFINE PRIORITIES
My primary needs are _____
I want to have all of these area in my house _____
If I have extra space, I want a place for _____
I spend most of my time in _____
My second priority area is _____
Once it is all ticked, you can roughly know which area are your priorities, and those area might be what you want to make them shine the most.
2. MAKE BUBBLES
Bubbles diagram will help to define the flow of the space, spatial connection between each room.
Define area by how it is relate, Kitchen and Dining should always be close to each other for example.
3. LOCATE WINDOW & SUNLIGHT
For better air circulation and natural light, it is better to have windows. But not all rooms have the luxury of getting sunlight. Sunlight & Window will effect many things such as,

4. TRY TO PLAY WITH SEVERAL LAYOUT
There is no “ONE SIZE FITS ALL” for a space.
Depending on the needs, It is better to try several layout and see which one make huge impact the most.
After all, space planning will bring a huge impact on design.
